Living Hope
1 Peter 1:3 NIV
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ! In His great mercy, he has given us new birth into a living hope through
the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
There is hope.
Hope is alive and breathing, signaling expectancy.
With every breath you breathe, hope welcomes you. Sometimes situations seem
to be hopeless. Sometimes circumstances seem like they will never change. They feel stagnant and immovable. However, the
truth is that hope is present. Christ is our living hope. Jesus died and rose
again for us, giving us victory. With Him, there is hope.
We have unlimited
access to the Father because of Jesus. Christ is our great High Priest. He sympathizes with our weaknesses and was tempted in like manner as we
are. Yet He did not sin
. We can depend on Jesus. He is completely trustworthy,
and He will not disappoint us. We are more
than conquerors because of Christ. With Him, we always win!
So, whenever you feel like you cannot endure, remember the God you serve. Remember that God is
not a God who gives up on His children. No one can snatch us out of His hand. There
is nothing too hard for the LORD. He can transform any situation. He can bring forth life out of barren places. He can bring
rain to dry lands. He can restore any wayward heart. There is nothing impossible
with God.
