Psalm 63 Prayer

O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in your sanctuary and gazed upon your power and glory. Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer. You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy. I lie awake thinking of you, meditating on you through the night. Because you are my helper, I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely.

Psalm 63:1-8

Dear God,

I belong to You. I am Yours and You are mine. Help me never to forget my identity in You. Help me to always remember that I belong to You. Help me to behave knowing Who I belong to. Give me a longing for You that far surpasses any desire. Please help me to search for You. I do not want to relent. Please help me to draw closer to Your side. Your love never gives up. Your love never surrenders. It endures. It endures. I want to be swept away in the torrents of Your love. Help me to know it deeply. Oh God, You are good, and You do only good. I can never escape Your goodness. I can never escape Your mercy. I can’t get away from Your grace. Help me to praise You as long as I live. Oh God, satisfy me with Your love. Satisfy me more than the richest delicacies. I want more of You. I will think of You day and night for You are faithful and You are good. You are perfect. You are true. Nothing compares to You. Oh God, You are my everlasting comfort. You are my shade. You give me true joy. With You, I am not afraid. You hold me firmly. I will trust in You because You have never failed me. Your purpose for me is good, so I will depend on You.
