Begin: Faith Talk

 

Dear Believer,

 

All you have to is begin. The effort does not have to be perfect. All it needs to be is present. Begin. Go forth and take the first step. Progress is not linear. Growth is not linear. Just begin and keep on going with eyes of faith. If you feel like you can't go on, just look up. Ask God to rescue you with His powerful hands. He will refresh you with His presence.

The journey might seem insurmountable. You may wonder how you will ever climb the mountains that are before you. Please remember that you can do all things through Christ who gives you strength. Remember that you are more than a conqueror. Remember that you are chosen. You are equipped. You are called. God has planted within you what it takes to accomplish your mission. You can do this.

 Silence the voices of accusation. Silence the voices that tell you that you are unable. Silence the lies with truth. The truth is that you have what it takes. The fullness of God resides in you! Now go forth and abide in his love!

 Get strengthened in His presence. You cannot be destroyed. Christ has already won the victory. You belong to Him, so you have won. You are a champion. You can do it, whatever 'it' is for you. You can do it and you will do the very thing that God has deposited in you to do.

 You work for His glory and honor. God has equipped you with all the requirements to fulfill the mission. You just have to believe it. You have to believe the truth of what God has already declared over your life. Please do not shrink back in fear.

God did not give you a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. Trust in Him. He will never let you down. His plan for you is perfect and complete. Let your faith be active and alive.

So, begin. Place one foot in front of the other. Go forth with courage. Go forth with confidence. Go forth with integrity. Go forth with discipline. Go forth with God on your side, for He is on your side.

When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.  Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.  And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
