Rest

Weariness lingers. Life's weight has become heavy and it is difficult to carry everything on your shoulders. I know you feel burdened by the pressures of perfection, the desire to be wanted, the quest for approval. I know that it seems as if hope is lost. The truth is that hope is everpresent, especially in your circumstance.

Please remember to breathe. Please remember that you are right where you're supposed to be. Remember that God has a purpose for you. Slow down and gain refreshment from the promises of God. He will never leave you or forsake you. Make good use of the time that has been allotted to you. Release the pressure to be perfect. Release the need to have everything together all at once. Remember to breathe. Give every burden to Jesus. He cares for you.

Cease from comparison. Cease from looking to the right and the left. Look straight ahead of you. Remember to run your race like only you can. Your race is uniquely designed for you. Only you can go where you are destined to go. Reserve your energy by focusing on your journey, fixing your eyes on Christ, the Author, and Finisher of your faith.

Continue to do the work that you are called to do. You don't have to overwhelm yourself, just take it step by step, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day. Remember to focus on your assignment, your path. Surrender everything to Jesus and He will take care of You.

Celebrate life. Take walks in nature. Partake in laughter. Take care of yourself. Rest. Celebrate how far you have come. Celebrate how far God has brought you. Rest in His strength. Take refuge in the fact that He will never ever disappoint you. He has your best interest at heart.

Draw close to Jesus. Approach Him with utmost honesty. Tell Him how much you need Him. Ask Him for forgiveness and bask in the light of His Presence. He delights in you.

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
Matthew 11:28‭-‬30 NLT
